Cash for College(Financial Aid Workshop) February 21 st 5:30pm-7:30pm

PVHS will be holding our last Cash for College workshop on Tuesday, February 21 st  from 5:30pm-7:30pm in the PVHS Library. ‚ÄčThis workshop is for seniors and their parents to complete the FAFSA or Dream Act application. There will be financial aid experts to help students through the application process. Please join us at our Cash for College event and bring the following documents:

 

*Your Social Security Number

*Your Permanent Resident Card (if you are not a U.S. citizen)

*2015 federal income tax returns, W-2s, and other records of money earned. (Note: You may be able to transfer your federal tax return information into your FAFSA using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool.)

*Bank statements and records of investments (if applicable)

*Records of untaxed income (if applicable)

*An FSA ID to sign electronically. 

*Chromebook

Cabrillo College Application Process for Seniors

 

Step 1) Stop by the computer lab during Power Hour on Tuesdays for support from the counselors. (optional)

 

Step 2) Apply to Cabrillo College online.

* After the application is reviewed/submitted, Cabrillo will send you an ID# within the following two working days. Check your email.

* Follow the instructions to complete the online orientation after receiving a Cabrillo ID#

* Take a picture of the Certificate of Completion when you’re done with the orientation.

 

Step 3) Take the assessment Cabrillo College in Watsonville (3rd floor). You can take the assessment twice. Take advantage of the reserved dates just for PVHS students.

a)    Thurs, 2/16-On your own at 8:30 AM. Must be excused at the attendance office.

b)    Tues, 3/14-There will be school transportation from PV and back, parent permission is required for the morning or afternoon.

c)  Thurs, 3/29-It will be school transportation from PV and back, parent permission is required for the morning and/or the afternoon.  Pick up parental permission slip at the front desk with Sandra Moore. First come, first served.
