Title: AP Environmental Science
AP Environmental Science is an introduction to the scientific principles, concepts, and methodologies needed to understand the interacting systems that make up our natural world. Students will apply these principles, concepts, and methodologies to identify and analyze environmental problems. Students will also evaluate risks associated with these problems, and assess various solutions intended to minimize negative environmental impacts.
AP Environmental Science is equivalent to a one-semester college-level Environmental Science class and prepares students to take the AP Environmental Science test. The course includes a strong laboratory and field investigation component.
The course is designed with a rigor that will require students to spend additional time reading, writing, and solving problems to prepare for the AP exam.
