Earth and Space

Title: Earth and Space Science           Credit 10.0             Course#: 3340

Earth and Space Science is a laboratory science that explores the Earth and its processes from a systems approach.  Units of study will include Astronomy, Geology, Scientific Method and Metric Measurement, California Geology, The Atmosphere, Climate and Weather, and Biogeochemical Cycles.  Students will engage in Inquiry-based labs, simulations, and modeling throughout their coursework. The goal is to give students an in-depth understanding of the planet on which they live and the systems that help to shape it.  Students will also look at how humans have been impacting these systems.
