Recommended Preparation:  One year of Math 2 with a grade of “C” or better or high MAP test scores.
 
Math 3 students pull together and apply the accumulation of learning that they have from both Math 1 and Math 2. Students expand their repertoire of functions to include polynomial, rational, and radical functions. They expand their study of right triangle trigonometry to include general triangles. Students apply methods from probability and statistics to draw inferences and conclusions from data. Students will bring together all of their experiences with functions and geometry to create models and solve contextual problems.  All units address the California Common Core State Standards in Mathematics.
