Imagine building a computer, then connecting it securely to a network. This exciting first step could lead to a rewarding IT career. 

Throughout this course, students will have many opportunities to explore computer hardware and software, as well as operating systems. Students will develop understanding of mobile devices, IT security, troubleshooting skills, as well as preventing cybersecurity attacks, protecting date and privacy, and programming concepts. 

Students will gain experience and skills in the design and operation of computer and networking systems, develop their critical thinking and problem solving skills as they assess customer needs, analyze possible configurations and make a troubleshooting solution to solve a hardware, operating systems, networking, and security problem. 

Exposure to the tremendous demand of jobs in the industry filed and the future societal impact of computing will be integrated into the course. No matter which area of IT students are interested in, this class covers key computer fundamentals as well as shares the career skills needed for entry-level IT jobs.
