Protective Service Academy (Public Safety 2)

Recommended Preparation: Public Safety 1Students interested in law enforcement careers will gain the skills and knowledge to enter a peace officers’ field-training program. Continuing instruction includes criminal law, law enforcement and its code of ethics, constitutional law, and the criminal justice system. Students will learn professional codes of conduct, and the physical, mental, and emotional fitness requirements to meet the criteria they would encounter in a law enforcement academy. Students will be encouraged to participate in community services to develop the mindset of a public servant.
