Students apply critical thinking skills, engage in discussions, and collaborate on projects that promote community health. Students learn the fundamentals of health and wellness, including core principles and goals of public health systems across a variety of populations. Students study community diseases, the social, economic, and environmental determinants of health in communities, and gain experience with data-driven methods used for effective disease prevention and control. Students explore communication strategies to improve health outcomes in communities.
