Recommended Preparation:  Grade “C” or better in Spanish 1 and/or teacher recommendation

 

Spanish 2 builds on the listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills developed in Spanish 1. Students learn to use and understand more complex and sophisticated grammar structures. Oral communication continues to be an integral part of the course along with an increased emphasis on reading and writing skills. Cultural study is integrated throughout the course with the use of maps, authentic artifacts, and oral stories. Students regularly use a variety of collaborative and independent methods for practice and cultural research.
