Title: AP Calculus Number of Credits: 10
Recommended Preparation: A grade of “C” or better in Math 3 Plus, teacher recommendation, or a completed AP application
This is a “college-level” class for advanced mathematics students. Students are expected to pass the College Board Advanced Placement Examination in Calculus given in May. The pace is rigorous and students can expect 8-10 hours of homework per week. Successful students will have a thorough understanding of beginning calculus. Students will apply calculus techniques in solving a variety of problems. Students who pass the AP Exam in Calculus will be eligible for college credit from the University of California, California State Universities, and other colleges.
The course is rigorous which includes daily writing assignments, projects, and readings to solve math problems.
